It was our first time here and it was great! Kayla was our server and she was fantastic. We were seated quickly and had our drink order taken right away. She kept up with refills and checked in on us frequently throughout our visit. We started with the crab dip as an appetizer. We're from Maryland, so it wasn't coated in old bay like we prefer () but it was enjoyable! The chips were especially good. I ordered the brisket mac and cheese for my main, which came with one side (I got the grilled veggies) and cornbread. My husband got the St. Louis style dry rub rack of ribs with mac, fries, and cornbread. As you can see from the picture, we dug right in before I thought to snap a photo. Everything was delicious! We were stuffed by the end so we didn't get to sample a dessert this time. My husband and I did visit the restrooms while we were here and they were both pretty tidy! The women's restroom had some toilet paper on the ground but it was otherwise clean and pleasant. The women's restroom also has a changing table (not in a stall). On another note, it was clearly busy when we visited and we overheard another server explain that they had multiple caterings and tastings that day, but we wouldn't have known because they did so well with checking in on us and the food came out quickly! We will certainly be back when we visit the area again.

Smokin Willy – A Must-Try for BBQ Lovers! My husband and I, along with my mother-in-love, Diane, had an incredible dining experience at Smokin Willy! From the warm, inviting atmosphere to the mouthwatering food, everything exceeded expectations. I ordered the Carne Asada, and it was phenomenal—perfectly marinated, tender, and packed with flavor. The macaroni and cheese was rich and creamy, an ideal complement to the steak. My side salad with honey mustard dressing was fresh and crisp, balancing the meal beautifully. After trying my husband's loaded mashed potatoes, I just had to get my own—fluffy, buttery, and topped with all the right fixings! And, of course, pairing it all with an ice-cold Barq’s Root Beer made it even better. Gracie was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Smokin Willy truly delivers on authentic American BBQ with bold flavors and generous portions. We’ll definitely be back for more! Highly recommend to anyone craving delicious, home-style barbecue with great service.

I was not expecting to love the food as much as I did! I figured it would be another average barbecue joint, but they had so much more to offer. Our server, Aidan, gave great recommendations. We got the wings, crab dip (surprisingly amazing crab dip!) and loaded fries to start, all so good! Then I got a burger and it was legit one of the best burgers I've had in the area. My kids got the brisket mac and cheese and the ribeye and they lived all of their food too. The old fashioned was also on point! I wasn't expecting to love the place as much as I do! I'll be back soon for sure.

Smokin Willy catered our wedding in Winchester and the food was delicious, the team was incredibly helpful and made our day incredibly easy. We loved the smell of the fresh grilled food before dinner at the wedding and heard many compliments about the food and the settings. They made our life so easy with set up and take down. We can’t recommend highly enough!

Grand slam, “hit out of the ballpark” lunch here at Smokin Willy BBQ! I went with the brisket tacos, and they were the best I’ve ever had. Hands down. Paired them with the spicy barbecue sauce, and they were just fantastic. For my side item, I went with the collard greens, which were the equal to or exceeded any collard greens I’ve previously had. How often do you want to drink all the leftover juice in your collard greens?! The fact that it was a cool day also made them a perfect side choice, but they were seriously amazing. I will definitely order these again next time we are back. My wife got the smoked turkey soup and a side salad, which she enjoyed. Great beer selection and cocktail selection as well. I would love to come back and get the full platter of their beef brisket as a dinner entree. If you’re looking for great barbecue in Purcellville, this is your place!

I'm not celiac, but I'm gluten, dairy and soy free. They had a gluten friendly menu and the waitress was knowledgeable about the allergens in the food, bit she did offer me blue cheese/ranch dressing. They were able to accommodate and I had the wings with the BBQ sauce as well as roasted vegetables. I've had no stomach issues after my meal. Bathrooms were pretty clean and they had a changing table in the women's bathroom.

We booked Smoking Willy to cater our wedding and we could not have been happier with the food and service provided!! Smoking Willy was so great to work with. They have catering weddings down to a science. They were so organized and even helped with setting up and taking down the ceremony. The food is absolutely delicious and provided impeccable service the whole night. We are so glad we booked with them!
